Charles Clement oversees SEARHC's $125 million healthcare operation and maintains strategic partnerships with leading healthcare providers such as the Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital (MEH).

The College of American Pathologists (CAP), through its internationally-recognized Laboratory Accreditation Program, recently ranked the MEH Laboratory among the top one percent of medical laboratories nationwide. The inspection, which lasted two days, did not identify any deficiencies in the most vital areas of testing, which resulted in MEH’s top performance scores in laboratory leadership, microbiology, hematology, blood banking, chemistry, and more.

One of the reasons the MEH Laboratory excelled at the CAP inspection is the mutual respect between laboratory staff and the other departments within the hospital. All the medical teams, surgical services, and administrative offices showed strong collaboration and commitment to quality in their respective functions.
